Testing, Testing RSTP Theory – Snowboarding, PART 4

Every practice day is spent methodically reviewing the previous day’s work and then incrementally adding in new building blocks of the skill set. Today was just a simple progression:

  • Practiced, once, flipping over on my front and getting up using The Frog – significantly, this was done out in the real world, rather than in my living room!! What this points to is that the earlier prep work, done in isolation, made this complex move considerably easier when I had to take it out on to the snow and the slopes
  • Heel-side sliding and stopping straight down the hill
  • Heel-side sliding and stopping straight down the hill, then, turning into a straight glide down the slope

Tomorrow, I’m tackling the “falling leaf pattern” (see “Testing, Testing RSTP Theory – Snowboarding, PART 5a (today’s practice” )
